Zoo Concessions Cashier

JOB DESCRIPTION:
SOUTHWICK ZOO FOOD & BEVERAGE STANDS & CONCESSIONS CASHIER
LOCATIONS:
ZEBRA CAFÉ, THE DELI, PIZZA, FUNKY MONKEY, CLARICE'S CUPBOARD, THE SWEET SHOP, SCOOPS & SWIRLS

REPORTS TO:
GENERAL &/OR ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER; PARK MANAGER/SUPERVISOR; RESTAURANT MANAGER
Summary: Responsible for recording sales transactions on the cash register and providing general customer assistance by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Receives cash, charge and check transactions in accordance with restaurant procedures.
2. Provides the customer with an appropriate receipt for each transaction.
3. Provides and initiates assistance for customers as needed.
4. Receives incoming telephone calls, takes accurate messages and directs telephone calls to the appropriate person.
5. Maintains adequate stock of paper forms for cash register area, and notifies Restaurant Manager when additional supplies are needed.
6. Attends restaurant meetings and training sessions as requested.
7. Trains new cashiers on approved company procedures
8. Balances cash drawer and totals currency sales each day.
9. Places cash and transaction records into safe in accordance with restaurant procedures on a daily basis.
10. Reports any problems or discrepancies to Head Cashier or Restaurant Manager.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned.
12. ALWAYS FOLLOWS ALLERGEN PROTOCOL!!!!

High School Diploma or Equivalent. Prior cashier experience is helpful.

LOCATIONS:
ZEBRA CAFÉ, THE DELI, PIZZA, FUNKY MONKEY, CLARICE'S CUPBOARD, THE SWEET SHOP, SCOOPS & SWIRLS

REPORTS TO:
GENERAL &/OR ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER; PARK MANAGER/SUPERVISOR; RESTAURANT MANAGER

Summary: Responsible for completing food preparation and performing basic kitchen responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the restaurant by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Reads and prepares menu items as ordered by customers according to portion control and quality standards of the menu.\
2. Follows specific recipes and instructions to prepare menu items using basic kitchen equipment and preparatory utensils.
3. Prepares food items according to recipes, instructions and customer orders, and follows food handling and safety requirements.
4. Retrieves ingredients from appropriate areas by lifting and carrying to food preparation area.
5. Communicates shortage of menu items to Manager immediately.
6. Unloads deliveries from truck and places in appropriate storage areas by lifting and carrying boxes.
7. Stores incoming food shipments properly in storeroom, maintains storeroom in a neat, orderly manner and ensures all food items are stored at the appropriate temperature.
8. Places dishes in dishwasher and cleans dishes in pot and pan sink as needed.
9. Stocks dishes, glassware and silverware as needed.
10. Always Maintains a neat and orderly work area
11. Sweeps and mops the kitchen floor at the end of each day.
12. Completes opening and closing duties in accordance with approved procedures.
13. Reports any health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to management.
14. Performs other related duties as assigned.
